My Growing Island prototype is part of a project tackling SDG 13. It's a simulation game which tracks your carbon footprint in an engaging and visual way. Players are given a neutral island. By lowering their carbon footprint each week, they can earn N coins and rewards to buy items and decorate their island. On the other hand by increasing their carbon footprint, their world will slowly decay.

The mobile game was concepted to be an extension of the "Neautralise" app, a carbon footprint tracking app concept part of a collaborative university project.

This app concept was created in order to tackle SDG 13 with the use of blockchain to transparently track GHG emissions throughout supply chains of products. Our app uses blockchain and QR code technology to allow consumers to be in control of their data and track their personal carbon footprint and see the product's journey securely.
